  Confirmation by Latin Bishop Anointing with olive oil was a profound ritual in ancient Israelite society, reserved for pivotal moments and significant figures. Kings, priests, and prophets were set apart through this sacred act. For instance, when Samuel anointed David, the olive oil symbolized divine authority and the beginning of his sacred mission (1 Samuel 16) .
